RCSG's Eric Shuffler Named to PolitickerNJ Power List Again
We are excited to announce that Eric Shuffler was named #45 on the PolitickerNJ Power List for 2015. The Power List, published annually, compiles a list of New Jersey’s most powerful non-elected officials
Eric has repeatedly appeared on the Power List 100, and this year moved up from his #52 on the 2014 ranking.
Veronique "Ronnie" Hakim Named President of NYC Transit
River Crossing Strategy Group wishes to congratulate our friend, Ronnie Hakim on her appointment as the new president of the MTA’s NYC Transit. Ms. Hakim has served as the Executive Director of NJ Transit since March 2014 and was the Executive Director of the NJ Turnpike Authority for the previous four years.
Ms. Hakim focused her tenure at NJ Transit by brining technological improvements to the agency, such as allowing customers to utilize their mobile device to quickly make travel plans, buy tickets and get transit information such as train schedules, and worked to modernize the bus fleet.
The NYC Transit’s presidency represents a “coming home” for her, as Ms. Hakim previously worked for more than 23 years at the MTA, first as Special Counsel for New York City Transit and later as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Capital Construction at MTA Capital Construction. She will now oversee the nation’s largest transit system, with over 8 million daily customers on subways, buses, the Staten Island Railway and other services.
Ms. Hakim will begin in her new position at the end of December. The Christie Administration has not named a new Executive Director of NJ Transit to date.
