Kevin P. McCabe served the President of the Carpenter Contractor Trust (CCT), a labor-management cooperative that serves as the marketing arm of the Keystone Mountain Lakes Regional Council and its union contractor associations. During his presidency, he has led the Trust from a single state entity to a multistate, multimillion-dollar organization.
He served as the Municipal Chair of the Woodbridge Township Democratic Committee, and was elected as the Chairman of the Middlesex County Democratic Organization (MCDO) in 2013 and was re-elected for this sixth consecutive term last year.
McCabe joined the Port Authority of NY/NJ Board of Commissioners in 2017, and currently serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee, Vice Chair of the Government and Ethics Committee, and a committee member on the Finance and Operations Committees.
He also serves as a board member of the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University and as a trustee for the New Jersey Hall of Fame Foundation.
Previously, McCabe served as the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development under Governor McGreevey, and as the Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Woodbridge. In addition to having served as an adjunct professor at Kean University, teaching Labor-Management, Kevin co-authored a book entitled, "Not Just Getting By: The New Era of Flexible Workforce Development," which explored challenges faced by single mothers as they try to improve their family's financial well-being.
Kevin currently resides in Metuchen, New Jersey, with his wife, Laurie, son, Conor, and daughter Ciara Ann.
